Piñata Softball

Yesterday was my 27th birthday, and boy did I have fun! :)  My family is pretty crazy and quite immature (just like myself) so when we get together we are sure to put the stupid on.  My fiance (who loves my hispanic heritage even more than I do) thought it would be fun to break a piñata (a Mexican tradition).  My Aunt was all game, so she went out and bought one.  Well, we were having the party at my sister and brother-in-law's newly built house, so they had no big trees to hang it from.  We decided to walk over to a vacant house-lot and do it there.  My clever uncle grabbed a 2X4 from the dumpster next to the lot, and we hung it from that.  One swing from my bulging biceps knocked the piñata off of its string, so we decided we would play softball with it.

The piñata was eventually broken after a few at-bats, and we feasted on its sweet innards.  I received more gifts than I deserved, but my favorite would have to be a silver buddha direct from Thailand where my soon-to-be mother-in-law often frequents for business.  The day was fun for all!  I love family.
